Small Groups are not just a "part" of the ministry at King's Way. In fact, small groups are not even a "ministry" of King's Way. Instead, one of the unique aspects of this church is that we believe so strongly in Small Groups, that we have restructured the church and her ministries to reflect the importance of community and relationship in all that we do. There are many reasons for Small Groups, the foremost being the biblical example that we see in the early church. They allow us to reach our circle of influence. They provide the "missing element" of connective relationship in our modern church, and they allow us to invest in the lives of one another. Ministry happens in community, and Small Groups allow the expression of what God desires to do in us and through us. While the overall vision of King's Way aligns the groups, the Small Group structure also allows for multiple unique expressions of the interests, abilities, callings, and ministry of the diversity of people who are a part of God's Kingdom. They also allow for inter-generational expressions of the Kingdom as people come together around common purposes. We encourage you to check out the definitions of "Faith, Friendship, and Function" groups in this section of our website. Then, check out the Small Groups catalogue and be a part of one or more of these groups! |
