2 Samuel 13:20-18:18
Sermon Notes:

A genuine crime against his sister. A longing for justice. Hatred. Empathy for the needs of others. Followers who would come alongside him. These were just a few of the realities which fueled Absalom's response to his father, David.  More than a historical figure, this story becomes a representation of the way in which the enemy seeks to destroy families, churches, and the work of the kingdom.  This is not the return of the person of Absalom, nor is it one particular evil spirit with this name, but rather a way of understanding how the enemy works to bring division and strife. Most dangerous because it "sounds good" on the front end, the back end will bite you! Beware, and be aware, so that you can stand, pray, and resist the Absalom spirit.
